I'll piggy back on this request, if I may. As I work on my old Holdsworth, I will eventually need a pair of brake levers for my GB brakes. The levers that I see on ebay very commonly are missing the bar straps. Complete levers are pretty expensive. Was there a defect in the GB straps that they are often broken, thus explaining the plethora of levers without straps for sale?

I also remember in a fuzzy way reading somewhere that the hot set up was GB brakes with Mafac Racer levers. Is my memory correct that this was a common arrangement?

Finally, if someone has for sale a pair of intact, cosmetically respectable pair of GB levers appropriate for an early 50's bike (Coureur calipers), please drop me a line. When did the GB Super levers debut? Thanks!

It turns out that I have quite a collection of GB brake calipers. Unfortunately, none are complete in the classically-correct sense. All have had small parts replaced with something else, or gone missing.

If anyone has small GB brake parts please let me know. http://www.flickr.com/photos/8210984@N06/2038042786/in/set-72157600338501016 /

If anyone has spare GB cable hangers for their centerpull brakes, please let me know. http://www.flickr.com/photos/8210984@N06/2038042612/in/set-72157600338501016 /
