Alan I wonder if you are thinking of Colner. I bought a frame with similar features from a guy near the Black forest in Germany. He suggested Colner was based in Belgium during the bike boom era. Whether this is lore or not I do not know but he insisted the Colner brand was very quietly owned by the Colnago family many years ago. During the boom they wished to take advantage of the entry level/ mid range price point without damaging the Colnago name. I have seen a few comments including a blurb on Sheldon Browns site at one point which substantiated his story. Anyone else have any information on Colner, fact or fiction?

and was finally IDed as a "shop brand" from a shop in either
Belgium or Netherlands (or France). I can recall that the shop name began with "C", but that's all (and not enough to do an archive search). Anybody recall the shop and the rest of the details? This was put to rest about a year ago, IIRC. Alan Goldsworthy SF, CA, USA
