Just bought this 50th Anniversary Schwinn Paramount on eBay:

But I can't figure out what the Campy "Alpine" crankset is. The seller claims it is 53-39 chainwheels on what appear to be Campy SR arms. It will be interesting to see how one accomplishes this. Anyone ever heard of "Alpine" rings for SR cranks?

Count the teeth in the photo, there appear to be about 42, as per usual. What Alpine refers to is the name pantographed around the big ring.
