Aldo,

Is that “Marotias” rather than “Mariotas” for Trobat-Garcia’s bike? When I lived in southern Spain in the mid 90’s, I noticed a lot of the junior racers riding Marotias frames. Lugged steel, of course. The logo incorporated a heart, similar to De Rosa. Must have been a local distributor sponsoring riders, because I think the builder/company was located up north in Guipuzcoa.

That’s one of a couple relatively less common Spanish marques that I reported to Lou Deeter for his guide. I don’t think I’ve seen one since returning to the States.

Bikes, from left to right - Fiorelli (anyone recognize the rider?), Lygie (Monti), Elvé (Ockers), Mariotas (Trobat Garcia), Bianchi (Coppi), and La Perle (Anquetil).
