Subject: [CR]Carlton - 2 part question

Just got a Carlton frame - serial number starts with WP6000, putting it a t a November, 1976 Worksop frame (per http://www.carltoncycles.me.uk/deta ils/dating.htm).

The closest info I've found is the 1972 add on the CR pages. - the frame is a light ("lagoon"?) blue with white, so I'm guessing teh "professional model" or a '76 equivalent (yes, presumes same maketing and model level across the years, which is risky).

Question 1 - does anyone have a spec sheet or listing that might be close r and more complete for a ca. 76 model? My current plan is to use Campy o r Stronglight contemporary parts pending finding/acquiring more definitiv e info or the 'correct' parts.

My plan is 'rehabilitating' the frame, rather than a showroom restoration - I want to ride it, but with apprppriate period parts.

Question 2 - Anybody have a Brampton Alatet (sp?) headset out there? I ju st missed one on eBay (and at the final price it's doubtful I'd have bid that high anyway...). Interest is because it's one of the explicitly list ed parts in the '72 ad.

Cheers ,
