Hi, I have purchased an old stored Sun Cresta bike circa 1959 ( the BB is st amped 3/59 ) which I'm stripping and rebuilding for spring 08, it has not b een over used and is in original condition, but it has raised a couple of q uestions : -

Chrome wheel nuts with the makers initial in white with a red background; I have always thought this was a Carlton/Raleigh ( 1960/70's ) thing, but he re it is on an old 'Birmingham Sun'. What's the earliest application of thi s type of wheel nut ?

The other question is concerning the tubing; It's not a top of the range ar rangement but it is fitted with a Wrights Saddle, Sun Wasp brakes, pedals a nd 10-speed Cyclo Benelux setup, but by the seatpost is a decal with the tu be details, and I can't track down any details about the manufacturer, it l ooks like 'EUUT' - any thoughts ?
