i had a bike shipped from somone in boulder (a person, not a shop) who said they had shipped many bikes. the guy took the rear wheel off and left the rear der. bolted to the hanger. i had to spend 20 minutes filing the dropout slot so i could even get the wheel in to use a der. hanger alignment tool. fun stuff. that was right after i think i said that i never had problems with bikes being shipped. imagine that.
