Folks

Glad to have found this forum, and before I jump into my first and burning question, a bit about myself!

Been biking for most of my life (32 now, birthday in early January) and recently (after a running injury) starting riding my trek 1000 AL while my hip recuperates. Along this path I got back into the biking mode of things.

Some of my more memorable bikes:

mid 80's Puch. Loved the feel of the steel frame on this bike. It was my first serious road bike.

also had a mid 80's DeTomaso. Campy gruppo and all. Loved this bike as well, but didnt feel as good as the Puch.

Onto my burning question:

Cleaning out my father in laws garage I came across his vintage Raleigh International road bike. He hasnt ridden this bike in over 30 years, and I was hoping to restore or refurbish the bike for occasional (or daily use). I was hoping to get some help in identifying the bikes true age, as well as getting some pointers on how and where to start to get it back up to road worthy status.

The basics of the bike are as follow:

Campy gruppo, 5 speed cassette cinelli bars and stem stitched wheels bike is green

I will take some pics and post them with a link for ID purposes.

Second part, where would be some good ideas to start looking to get moving on the refurb or cleanup process? Do I strip and repaint the frame, or not.

Any pointers and advise would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
