Subject: [CR]1st gen S.R. seatpost

I recently acquired a 1st gen Super Record seatpost and I'm wondering if some of the saddle clamp parts have been changed out. The only differences I see between these parts and those on my Record post is that the lower rail supports are alloy and the barrel nuts have concave ends. The upper rail clamps (steel) and the bolts are identical on both posts. According to Campy Cat. 17a, the upper rail clamps and the bolts should be unique on the S.R. post too (perhaps alloy and Ti?). Or were these changes pulled soon after it's introduction?

Forgive me if this has been discussed before or it is common knowledge but I'm still learning the intricacies of Campy parts. Yes, I searched the archives.

In a similar vein, how difficult is it to source these parts if I need to? One of the barrel nuts is incorrect and I'll have to find a replacement for that at the least.

Thanks,
