I have close to NOS Suntour stem ratchet shifters (just bought on ebay)
that don't ratchet. They have adequate friction though. I haven't mounted
them on the bike or applied load. I see no gears inside. What could be
wrong? I have a set of Shimano ones that ratchet fine without being mounted.
Don't get it. Am I missing something?
