First thing, It's a beautiful bike. If the oil man wasn't getting most of the disposable income this winter, I'd be really interested - especially at the price it's at.

But since I love an interesting contest, I'll take a try at it, there's actually a few things I see, but I'll probably miss the one you're really looking for. But here goes anyway.

The seatpost is way too new, unless I've missed some early 50's aero craze. The shift levers are newer Campagnolo SR. The rest of the drivetrain looks like NR except for the cranks which are victory? The brakes look like weinmann sidepulls, which may also be a bit too new.

So some parts should be changed out for older stuff. Maybe a cyclo derailleur, BH hubs, and Gb brakes? Was the white patch still required at the back of the rear mudguard in 52? And it definetly needs a lamp to go on the lamp bracket.

I'm probably missing something horribly obvious, but I'm still happy I've learned a bit after a few years on the list. When I started, I probably couldn't have identified the parts from just the pictures, let alone know that they were a good deal newer than the frame.
