Pic of the Day 18th December, 2007

Henri PĂ©lissier, eldest brother of the trio of famous racers, and winner of the 1923 Tour de France. Not sure about the occasion for this picture, although the Dilecta jersey suggests 1926, 1927, or 1928 - the final three years of Henri's professional career. Interesting choice of bicycle - fenders, chain guards, and lack of bottle cages preclude it from being an active racing bike, but it does have drop bars and toe clips. Can anyone tell if that's a BSA chainring? From "Match l'Intran" No.278, 5 January 1932.
