My take of the Franco-Belge model of bars made by ATAX is that they are a very "square" shape of bar. The other well-known "square" bar is the MAES pattern...and Sylvere Maes was a very well-known Belgian. Who knows, perhaps there was some form of patent or other trade restriction placed on the MAES model by the Belgian manufacturer TITAN.,..or GB?
