A number of Triumph brakesets I believe were supplied by Campy with Gum hoods. Also, the late production runs of the Super Record brakes (typically short reach with script writing on the arms) came through with white hoods. But yes, the white hoods do seem to have been introduced for the victory brakesets. C-rec would have used Cobalto levers which are aero and a different shape than the NR/SR.

\r?\n> If the information in off-topic Catalogue 18bis is definitive,

\r?\n> it appears the White Hoods were introduced for the

\r?\n> C-Record / Victory brakesets, with Triomphe shipping out with

\r?\n> black hoods.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> It would seem color-matching to the derailleur pulley color

\r?\n> might be a good rule of thumb.

\r?\n> I don't know if the SR came with white hoods unless Campy was trying to

\r?\n> dump

\r?\n> some Victory or Triomphe hoods. The Victory hoods will fit the early SR

\r?\n> and

\r?\n> other levers. I think the newer SR levers are of a different design and

\r?\n> take

\r?\n> a different hood that's not quite white, but a light grey.
