I got good deals yesterday on two Schwinn Paramount, both unrestored with original parts. A full chrome from 1972 and a 1964, coppered coloured, both in show condition.

      Well I sure have seen some older Hetchins that were produced under their “Watchful eye” that were just schlock. I never have understood how some Hetchins were exquisite and others had workmanship to make a gas pipe bike blush.
    Can you explain the wide disparity in quality? They perhaps contracted out some work without careful quality control?
