Scott, Two of my classic TT bikes have been shown at Le Cirque.
The early 70's version was shown just last year. It was patterned after some of the bikes I raced against while I was serving my apprenticeship over in England back in '73. It has many of the features of the bikes of that period, short top tube, long(14cm)!! stem,,,, gets more weight over the front we to even out weight distribution. Indented seat tube to shorten the wheelbase. 24 hole high flange wheels, drilled everything which isn't very aero, but could be considered "war paint", and it lightens up the bike a bit, clean white paint scheme, etc, etc. I have to say I was very taken with the beauty, simplicity and cleanlyness of the gleaming bikes over there. I tried to capture that spirit in the machine I built for myself.
Alan Bernstein showed a later compact early 80's bike I built at Le C. about 2-3 years ago, I believe Dale has a photo of it in some of his shots from the show floor. I will see if I can find it.
I will take a few shots of the 70's machine and put them up on flicker in the next couple of days. I will forward the link then.
