I've listed a neat Geoffrey Butler frame set. Frame has a curved seat tube - pretty cool but time to stop looking at her and move her onto someone that will build her up and enjoy her out on the open road. The auction description reads:
Vintage Geoffrey Butler curved seat tube frame set. This frame set is obviously special due to it's curved seat tube. Frame material is unknown but likely top quality as she has Campagnolo long drop outs, nice long flat tapered seat stay tops, nice lug work and except for the seatpost, was fully Campagnolo and 3TTT equipped when purchased by me (yes, I stole the bits I needed for another bike of mine). Paint and decals are clearly original; frameset has numerous chips and a small scratches but still presents itself quite well and when built up with period components would be one sharp ride.
Included in the auction is the single lever (rear derailleur) Campagnolo shift lever and the downtube cable guide - also for the rear cable only and the cool 3ttt seatpost in 26.6. This frameset never had a front derailleur and originally had a Campagnolo Pista crankset. The Campagnolo Pista bottom bracket is included in the "Buy it Now" price; otherwise it is not part of the auction but is available separately to the winning bidder.
Seat Tube is 58cm c-c, Top tube is 57.5 c-c, chainstays are 39cm from center of BB to forward part of drop outs, wheelbase is 97.5cm or 38 3/8". Rear is 120mm for standard 5 speed freewheel.
Paypal preferred within 3 days of auctions end but bank check or MO accepted within 7 days of auction end. Item will be very well packaged. Shipping in Conti US is $40.00, rest of world must write to me 4 hours before auction end for a shipping quote; insurance is extra and recommended.
