I'd like to add a good start for a vintage "ultimate death bike". I have a frame and fork from the 70's that is all aluminium. I do not know the ma nufacturer but it looks like a Vitus or Alan except that all the tubes - in cluding fork blades to crown and fork crown to steerer tube are bolted toge ther! Every single intersection is secured by machine screws, some big, som e small. Oh, and the fork dropouts are secured with 2 pop rivets each. Scar y. Very very scary. I don't know much about the bike other than it's french , from the 70's and it's light and was built to be a racer. I bought it for it's "interestingness" but have yet to ride it. So how about this mystery french frame and fork, Hi-E rims, AVA stem, and something delron in the shi fter department as a basis for a vintage death bike. Someone else want to a dd to the build? If someone is familiar with this frame I'd like to learn what it is. Her e in Montreal everyone into bikes is familiar with the bolted frames but li ke legendary Loch Ness sightings no one has any real information. Mine does not have any decals. I know of one other and when I saw it the only origin al decal was a small one on the head tube. The decal is an upper case H sit ting in a castle shape and below was "Dix Vitesse" (10 speed). Needless to say this wasn't a great help in identifying the bike.....
