Thanks for mentioning this topic. I'd LOVE to hear folks experiece with this, printing your own water slide? I've tried, and the INKJET version I tried was 'OK' -but the text seemed to have a bit more 'translucency' than I'd like. I printed the Schwinn logo to put on one of the brushed aluminum PlanetEarth water bottles (for a handle bar mount) - and it's ok - just not super.
Do the Laser versions of the paper do better? ('ink' vs 'toner' would likely have different results)
Urethane clear cote with UV filters would probably make them last up ok ?? (but without UV, I'm sure the inks would fade quickly)
On a slightly different note - I do remember years ago working with a special laser paper, available ONLY in silver and gold, I recall, but the heat somehow ETCHED the borders of the image so that when you peeled them back, you got a VERY nice image. If you need silver or gold, and your image is monotone... it would work
