Hey gang.
My name is Davis Phillson and I reside near lovely Lake Lanier, Georgia, USA. I have been 'in' to bikes since I was a kid and remember taking apart my first coaster brake when I was around 6. I remember also getting my first coater brake back together around 14. I have owned a variety of tourers and racers in my day. A smattering of British racing green (raleighs, holdsworths, falcons) and some older japanese racers (fuji, panasonic, miyata). I have never owned an italian steed. My current modest stable consists of a Miyata Pro from the early 1980's, a mid70's PX-10 and a full Zeus Paramount. I'd like to learn more about how to better use what I have and perhaps make a strategic acquisition here and there....I have referred to the list archives doing research or when stuck in an airport.
The for sale is my soon to be son in law's Harry Quinn. My daughter and I bought it for her husband hoping he would get a little more motivated and recognize that sports is not just a TiVO search term. Alas, the dust gathers and it has become a focal point of conflict. Its in fine shape: we bought it off CL in Atlanta. It's yellow with blue panels, older Mavic gears and brakes. Reynolds tubing throughout 54 cm top tube and seat tube. No wheels/tires/freewheel as the son-in-law lent those to a friend and hasn't bothered (for obvious reasons) to reclaim them. She paid $600 for the whole bike 2 years ago so is asking $450/obo plus reasonable shipping. If I can't get a buyer for this I may have to sell my son in law. Pics available...first come first serve.....
