I missed the beginning of this thread but I know a little about Dossche Sport.

When I was a kid in the early 70's I worked at a shop named Englebosch Cycles in Amityville, New York (Yes, the same Amityville as the Horror Story). They had been the exclusive importer of Dossche to the United States in the 50's and 60's. The guy who started the shop was named Felix Englebosch. He was a Belgian immigrant who had ridden as a pro sponsored by Dossche. I still have an original Dossche Sport brochure from from that shop.

When I opened my shop 18 years ago I had a couple Dossche track bikes that I used to lend out to kids on the team I sponsored. One of those kids turned out to be a very talented rider. He wound up getting invited to spend a month doing a series of races in Holland and Belgium. While he was there he discovered that Dossche Sport still existed as a retail bicycle shop. He bought me a wool Dossche Sport jersey in Belgian national colors... I don't know anything about the Eddie Merckx connection.
