...that is "3 victories". But to see where that really originates, take a look at this profile of keiring racer, Toshihiko Tomita. About 6 minutes into the film, he talks about winning all 3 rounds of a keirin "derby". Disclaimer: You will need to watch, what might be for some of you, a few extraneous minutes before reaching that portion of the film. Also, the final few minutes might be painful for those list members who recently expressed negative opinions of urban fixed-gear/fixed-wheel/stiff-hub riders, "keirin culture", modern youth culture, brakeless riding, and other social ills. I'm mentioning this, as bringing this film to the list's attention is in no way meant to be a surreptitious means of subverting the founding principles of the CR list. Nor do I wish to subject sensitive list members to topics which they might find objectionable. Best regards, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia (USA)
