I think this uses a 48 hole rim with 6 holes skipped. thinking he had some theory about leading and trailing spokes, there relative # or placement or relative angle, or... hm, I seem to recall a picture somewhere of a rear wheel that looked this kind of different, maybe 3 spokes one direction then one the other? Sounds like entertainment to me! I'd definitely get a 48 hole rim and play a bit (and listen to what else you hear here... this list is great!
