The model was available commercially with a Shimano EX (pedals) and AX set-up similar to the one you described ( I had one). The seatpopst was unique, neither Shimano's nor Columbus's version of an oval post but specific to this model. The Super Record version was ridden by Hinault in the '79 Tour and it was on one of the "10 Best Bikes of All Time " list in an English Cycling magazine a few years ago. Although Hinault rode it with Super Record, all the oval tubing bikes seemed more at home with aero equipment, mostly Shimano AX as they introduced aero brake levers, ovalized or flat spokes, and other design accoutrements which capialized on the design theme. I think its a uniquely beautiful set up and this particular version has the extra cache of having been ridden to vitory in the Tour. Let me know if you don't want it-- I miss mine.
