Yet they continued to make the Extras and the Extras continued to be perceived as the top-of-the-line strap, didn't they? When were the Supers introduced? By the early 80's the Supers were regarded as the little brother to the Extra, at least where I'm from.
Also, does anyone on the list recall Extras that had metallic gold "ink" lettering spelling out "Alfredo Binda" on the top face of the strap. All my Extras have black lettering (3 different versions), and all that I've seen lately have black lettering, but I recall some metallic gold lettering that tended to wear off. Perhaps what I was looking at was a natural leather non-laminated Binda that I mistook for an Extra?
