Looking at Eddie Albert's pix of the 1932 Maino in the Wool Jersey gallery in enlarged format, the NISI clincher rims on my bike have the same vertical grooving on the braking surface as these. Do the rims in the Wool Gallery pix look like clinchers? Art Link,San Antonio,TX

There were without doubt alloy rims that were supplied on bikes like the Maino. I don't believe they were 27" but rather 700C. Among others, Ambrosio made such rims. Can you confirm that the rims on the bike are actually 27"?
