BOTH! At least that's what an almost pathologically obsessive review of the earliest Colnago catalog available at Mark Bulgier's site, revealed to me. I set up a page with pics from the catalog, and commentary regarding the crimping question, as well as the likely date of this undated catalog. It'd be great to know the date of the catalog, as it would be helpful in identifying and dating the many Colnagos that go through our hands. Here's the link to the page:
