Dear David & List.
Hears an idea to mull over. I once owned a rear brake drum tool that was used to open small springs in order to help get then properly attached. Could this tool be used to help prey open a struck seat tube, perhaps with a little oil?
Unfortunately I can't test this theory myself because I gave away the car tools when I gave up on cars. Safe Cycling.
