Perhaps it's because I don't know any better, but I have a set of plastic-filled Ukais, and I have no complaints with them. (Perhaps they made more than one model?)

They are a little heavier than your average tubular rim, but since I'm not involved in many sprint finishes and don't get to ride on glass-smooth surfaces, their durability and propensity to remain true is more important to me than weight savings. They ride well enough, and are more comfortable on our local slightly-in-need-of-repair roads than some other rims that I have used.
