Folks: I am not a psychologist or do I ever try to examine WHY people do what they do or buy what they buy. Check on the purchasers feedback number and go to the other purchased items. He purchased a BMX number tag for $375.00 and other questionable value items. For every interest there will be a collector that is willing to spend more money that would seem reasonable to us. After all isnt a Raleigh International worth more than a set of hubs? That reminds me I have a Campy chainring that is stamped A.T.B. that I wish I could find a deep pocked purchaser. BT

These supposed BMX hubs recently sold at a BIN price of $550 USD. I'll allow that we have no idea whether anyone will ever come up with the money, but assuming that this deal goes through, isn't this slightly insane money for a set of Campy BMX hubs? Then, consider that the BMX hubs are depicted in the catalog as bearing the Nuovo Tipo style logo (the wingy thing) and round holes (on the HF) while these clearly have Record style logos and oval holes. Moreover, these hubs don't have the correct axles, but rather some sort of aftermarket titanium stuff. To me, this looks like a set Record Strada hubs with some aftermarket titanium axles and Campy pista spacers, locknuts, and axle nuts....

Or are they ultra-rare early 80's Super-MX-Record prototypes?
