Subject: [CR]Cirque Charity auction poster from NAHBS

Dear Listees, The NAHBS (http://www.handmadebicycleshow.com/ ) has once again provided a great opportunity to meet and see some of the very best of the luged steel frame builders to EVER hold a torch! And to document this annual critical mass, I've managed to get the signatures of these national treasures , along with other important industry people that have help make the history of our hobby, on a very limited number of the events official poster. These luminaries include:

R.Brian Baylis, framebuilder, winner Best Lugs AND Best Paint NAHBS '07 Roland Della Santa, framebuilder to Greg LeMond Don Walker, founder North American Handbuilt Bicycle Show Richard Schwinn, Waterford Gary Prangle, the Decal Man Kirk Pacenti, the Lug Man Brent Cadagan of Phil Wood Bruce Gordon, framebuilder, Winner Best of Show NAHBS '07 Carlos Martell, framebuilder Winner Best New Builder NAHBS '07 Hank "Henry James" Folsom, lugs Mark Nobilette, framebuilder Steve Bilenky, framebuilder/ artist Simon Firth, Bilenky Cycle Works Richard Sachs, framebuilder Dario Peggoretti, framebuilder; Italy Brett Horton, collector extraordinaire Tom Richey, framebuilder, innovator Bill Boston, framebuilder, Accufit Doug Fattic, framebuilder Greg Honn, Milano Sport, Masi Importer Richard Storino, general manager Campagnolo USA John Slawta, LandShark Frank Spivy, Mr.Drillium Peter Johnson, framebuilder, machinist extraordinaire Mike Barry, framebuilder Peter Mooney, framebuilder Dave Bohm, framebuilder "Fast Freddy" Markham, Hour Record 53.43 Miles in one hour, full fairing recumbent Sam Whittingham, Worlds Record holder, 81 MPH top speed, full fairing recumbent

WOW!!!

Every one of these industry pillars agreed to help me raise money for this years annual Cirque du Cyclisme (http://www.classicrendezvous.com/Cirque.htm ) Charity Auction by putting their John Hancock on the commemorative NAHBS poster. This years auction will once again benefit Operation Smile (www.operationsmile.org ), my favorite way to do just a little bit of altruistic effort for the year. Since 1982, Operation Smile's volunteers have provided free facial reconstructive surgery to tens of thousands of children and young adults in 25 developing countries and the United States. 90,000 children have been treated. 87% of cash and in-kind donations go directly to programs helping children. But I need youse guys help too! These limited edition posters will be available only at the Cirque Auction along with the old greasy bike parts that are now in safe keeping in the cardboard box under your bed. NOW is the time to start to prepare! Get under there and start to knock off some a da dust offa dem Record derailleurs, Simplex 543's, 1st generation Campy crank arms, and whatever else ya got. Youse know the way it works: a minimum donation of 20% please, and help give a kid a lot of happiness. If ya can't get to Greensboro (BIGGG MISTAKE), then ya can send the stuff to Dale's shop marked "Charity Auction". Due to logistical complications, only full donations (100%) can be handled this way. I will be listing one of the posters on E-Bay at an OUTRAGIOUS buy-it-now price $$$ just for all a youse to peruse. Say tuned for more details.

Thanks in advance for all of your generosity,

John T.Pergolizzi,
Auction organizer and chief auctioneer.
