I just bought an eBay Bertin as a "rescue" project. Item # 220089308623
Take a look.
Mine's about the same vintage (maybe 1974) -- undrilled-generation Jubilee front, rear (with the Campy DO mounting setup) and levers; Mafac Racers; TA cranks -- gotta love that seat. With a bit of cleaning (and a proper saddle - Ideale?), I'll have something fun and unworried to knock around town on.
Not sure exactly what model it is...anybody? I pick it up on Monday.
Cheers,

Hi Doug, I'll be listening as well, as I've recently begun to work on a frame a fellow lister offered. Mine has cottered cranks, that seem to have been original. The rims are rusty chrome, I think 'Milremo' brands and HEAVY. The frame is 531 I'm sure, but components make me think it was a middle of the road model. The shifters are Huret

The seller also had a UO-8 bike in great shape (but way too small for me) - which may yield up the extra french things needed (bars, headset, etc).
Good luck Doug on your research - if I hear anything offline, I'll pass it along to ya
