The earliest actual team Holdsworth Professionals had Weinmann center-pulls for a couple of weeks or so before the Campagnolo Record brakes became available in England. My own team bike still has the remnants of the rear center-pull cable hanger brazed to the seat lug -- apparently the team mechanics hacksawed them off and splashed a bit of paint over the bare metal. After that, I think all the team bikes had Campagnolo Record brakes. The Professional was sold as a frameset, so they were probably built up with a variety of equipment to suit the owners' preferences.

I recently had the good fortune to purchase an orange & blue Holdsworth Professional. It has mostly period Campy and Cinelli, but before I chang e the DiaCompe brake levers and Suntour Superbe calipers in an effort to make it "original", I'd like to know from someone, what if anything was "standard" on this bike. Thank you, Jerry Hnot p.s. I see the webmaster 's bike seems to have the same Cinelli Unicantor saddle as mine...what, they didn't like Brooks in those days?
