Bob, I just now wrote Richie for a clarification on the date that he said the short dropouts were available:

"i had them in 1975 when RS cycles was getting planned. they came from reed swain at olympic resources, precursor to c usa... e-RICHIE©\u2122®"

Now you've really got me wondering when they became available for the

first time. The Campagnolo Timeline I continually update as more becomes know has the date for the short dropout as 1974.
