Hey John:
I had trouble following your e-mail...
Do you mean that you have a Motebecane Le Champion?
What is "p-lugged"?
And this "Le Champion" is built of the lower level Reynolds 501 tubing? That seems odd for a top model.
What level Shimano/Huret/Stronglight components? As you must know, they make el cheapo level and top-of-the-line level... Which models within these manufacturers lines also are indicators of era produced...
I think a search of the archives will show that none of us have figured out how to date Motobecanes nor Bianchis from their serial numbers
Finally, where you wrote << Bianchi Sport SX serial number IS762135 (61 seat tube, 58 TT, 64 DT, 21" HT, 128 rear axle, 700c wheels and I'm quite willing to part with this >> looks like an offer to sell without stating a price, which would be a breach of this e-mail list's rules. Another Le Champ has come to me. Might be off topic but have to ask. If the year is wrong, it still could ( all P-lugged) be KOF. AN-y-how, colors white seat tube and down tube fading to blue top tube fading to red on head tube. Reynolds 501, mixed Shimano /Hurett/Stronglight components and serial number 78714689. What year? While I'm at it, Bianchi Sport SX serial number IS762135 (61 seat tube, 58 TT, 64 DT, 21 HT, 128 rear axle, 700c wheels and I'm quite willing to part with this).
