I'm no expert, don't have references and haven't been to a holiday Inn in a while, however from what I understand SR cranksets were a common cost cutting option for Dutch Bikes. If one spends any time on any of the Dutch auction sites it becomes quite evident that few bikes other than the top enders had full campy gruppos. I guess they had gruppettos, not including the famed Tenditore del Piedino.

Personally I always wanted full campy on my bikes, couldn't always afford it but that's what I lusted for.
