Chuck is being much too modest.
Rather than write about things he knows, but cannot document, he prefers to not write about them at all.
I, on the other hand, have no such self-restraint. So, let me tell you the little I know about Campagnolo's Tenditore del Piedino tool:
It was one of Tulio's last inventions. He developped it in a failed attempt to remedy Eddy's Leg Length Irregularity (LLI). Eddy's LLI is what caused him so much pain and discomfort in the long stages.
LLI throws the body off balance and causes chronic back pain. By the time his LLI was diagnosed, Eddy was on his way out. The thought of having his leg pulled, even by his greatest admirer, was unnacceptable. Which is why, this tool was never included in Campy tool box.
Feel free to quote me, if you feel it will give your article a hint of credibility.
