I have a test report for these brakes buried somewhere in a huge stack of Cycle Sport magazines.

Note the angled pivots (clear in the vendor's pics)

If my memory serves me correctly, the pads sing in and up; the idea was to achieve better tyre clearance, I think.

A couple of days ago there were some posts about Campy alternatives. Well, these babies would be perfect for someone wanting to put a classy, technically interesting brake that doesn't come from Italy or Japan on their early 80s bike.

Note that they're NOT touring-reach brakes. You can see from the pictures that the clearances aren't great and I also recall the tester commenting negatively on their versatility, or lack thereof. I think he found them a fiddle to set up.

Don't know the age of the CLB titanium center pull brakes on eBay, but they sure do resemble the earlier GB Coureur 66 center pull design. Here's the auction address to view the brakes:

http://ebay.com/<blah>

The $44.00 buy-it-now price appears to be pretty reasonable for the brakes offered by a French seller. May be of interest to someone building up a French inspired KOF frame???
