Subject: [CR]FS: V.T. Braysher frame and fork

I have the following frame and fork for sale should anyone be interested. Otherwise onto Ebay.

The frame is a V.T. Braysher, 56 cm center to top on the seattube, and 57 cm center to center on the toptube. It has unique braze-ons: the leftside downtube has guide and stop for a barend shifter, also with a cable stop close to the bottom bracket for the front derailleur indicating originally designed to have a Campagnolo Record, with a cable stop, though I used a Sach-Huret front derailleur that uses the same kind of cable stop at its lower end. The rightside braze-on for the rear derailleur is a downtube braze-on, with a parallel cable stop to the rightside on the lower portion of the downtube, another cable stop situated almost even with the chainstay bridge, and a cable guide and stop for the rear derailleur close to where the rear derailleur would be. It has an arrow-type braze-on for a pump on the downtube, though it is bent. The right rear dropout has the small hole for a Campagnolo record derailleur. The rear spacing is 120 mm and it requires a 26.8 seatpost. There are two grease ports underneath the bottom bracket.

The chainstays and the front fork have (had) chrome on it as do (did) the headtube lugs. Overall the chrome is shot, non-redeemable without rechroming, though the paint does not require repainting and is original. The paint does, however, have multiple chips, a couple of scrapes, and lots of small spots missing paint. The lugs are interesting. I have never seen a bike with these lugs, though my experience with viewing lugs is limited, especially compared to the Brits on the list. In any case, this is an interesting frame and fork with unique lugs. The serial number is 62 200, making it 1962? No tubing decal but I would assume Reynolds 531.

$425 plus shipping. You can see the frame at the following: http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/hayesbikes/album236/ . I will take more pictures tomorrow and send them to any who would be interested in buying it. We are supposed to have some sunglight tomorrow so the pictures might show the frame more clearly than those on the wooljersey site. Also if a person on the list wants to buy it and is going to Trexlertown next weekend, I could bring it there and you can save the shipping cost.

Thank you for looking and interest.

Cheers.
