Excellent point David!!!
Personally I've always been enraged (not strong enuff word here) that people referred to the GIOS fork crown inserts as "coins" instead of the correct term, which would of course be "MEDALLIONS"!!!
Now what about the lowly braze-on cable housing stop?

In my neck of the woods we call that a "Diver Dan" in reference to
its resemblance to a deep sea diver's helmet.

I believe in Italy, instead of calling it a Diver Dan, the brazed-on
housing stop is called a "Casco Del Cavaliere Medioevale".

Can anyone confirm or deny?
