ATTENTION ALL LIST MEMBERS,
Youse are all invited to the next monthly meeting of the Brooklyn Velodrome Vintage Wheelmen, the BVVW, on Thursday, May 3, 2007. Meeting Reminder
The BVVW is a tangent of Gruppo Sportivo Pergolizzi which for tax reasons, has moved its headquarters to the Republic of Southern California.
This will be an informal gathering of all N.Y. metro area cyclists who share an interest in vintage bicycles and cycling history. We talk the old talk (1930 to 1980). The BVVW , a group of about 20 certified freaks, will hangout and talk bikes for about 2 hours.
AGENDA Subject for the evening will be a show & tell about my trip to Bordeaux, France. As some of you know, I went over in February for a weekend to visit Alex March of RHCLASSICS and I just may bring along the souvenir that I brought home with me. Matt Bowne will talk about his experiences at the North American Frame builders show in San Jose. T-Town is that Saturday so any logistics can be arranged. I also know that some of you may be riding the NYC 5 borough bike tour on Sunday May 6th. Life insurance policies will be available for sale.
Please bring an interesting story to tell; no more then 2 hours in length!
Afterwards whoever is left will go out for dinner somewhere in the village. Michael Lebron is recommending we retire to a cuban-italian ristorante on 2nd avenue
Meet at the home of : Michael Lebron 36 Cooper Sq. N.Y.,N.Y. 7th floor 1-212-475-2950
That's the old Village Voice Building; between 5th and 6th streets. Take the #6 train to "Astor Place" or the "R" to Broadway and 8th. Say's "Village Voice" in HUGE letters on the outside of the building.
We're going to have a great time . Come and join us.
