Subject: [CR]UK Vintage rides

I know of the VCC, this sounds miserly I can't help but be a little put off by a membership fee. Yes I know that it's only £20 but when

£20 can get you a vintage ride or parts on eBay I've always had a lot

of competition for my money. However, with all the positive feedback

from the group I think I'll join later on in the year.

On a personal/side note; I've only really been interested in vintage lightweights and this interest has grown in recent years (mostly due to being on the CR list), I grew up during the rise of chunky tires and front suspension

(the 80s) so I only developed true appreciation for these quality rides as I got nearer to 30. I have little interest in making museum

pieces out of bikes, I'm fond of the frames (and finishing) but only some of the components. Not being interested in old boneshakers and faithful restorations has also made me keep my distance to some degree for fear of my build choices would lead to heresy among the group.

Thanks to all for the responses to this thread.
