That's what I also thought for a long time, but a few months ago I discovered (finally), that you can see the full size pics if you choose the DOWNLOAD option. You will then have the option of opening or saving the image. If you choose to open you will see it in the Windows Picture Viewer in full-screen size. If you save it you'll have the option, with certain image viewers, of viewing it in true full-resolution mode, which for a 2416x1944 file, produces an image which is bigger than a 17 or even 19 inch monitor.

Yes. Only the person who uploaded the photos can see the full size version. The reason probably is that Yahoo also sells prints and would not want you to print your own. There are other free web albums that will let you see the full size photos, such as Google's Picasa Web Albums.
