I'm not surprised at all.
For as long as I can remember, USA, a car and can country has bred an
insular knowledge base by and large.
People would always come in asking if Reynolds tube bikes were aluminum
because they were so light.
Their only reference was the Reynolds America aluminum company, which was
only a natural assumption on their behalf.
So, it took a moment or two to unravel the mystery and people were very
happy to have been given the correct information.
