I recently read a note on the CR list about the leather stitch-on bar wrap sold by Velo Orange. I bought some (along with the matching chainstay protector) to try on my Crescent. What a wonderful product! It turned out to be the perfect finishing touch for my retro-mod. While I was on their site, I bought some leather mud-flaps that match my Brooks saddle - about half the price of Brooks'. I cut them down to make them a bit more "aero". (like as if the touring-nature of the build calls for anything aero!)

Another find was the saddlebag from Frost River in Duluth, MN. Since I haven't been a ble to find Baggins bags, this turned out to be the next best thing. Great retro-look and excellent quality. Their website has several bike bags made from waxed cotton canvas and leather.

Pics of the finished Crescent are on my home page at:http://www.geocities.com/davefromainetoo/Crescent.html
