I'm not going to bid, though it's my size and I've always sorta wanted one, due to the fact the paint is not original, and the one lonely photo is too small - can't really tell anything from it.

The fork may be bent back a little - or that could just be lens distortion in the photo. I think the painting at the bottom bracket may be wrong - the painted part extends up the tubes a little. Wasn't it just the shell itself that was painted originally? I don't remember well enough to say for sure. He doesn't say who did the repaint, another negative, because only someone experienced at that can be trusted to do a decent job, especially the pinstriping.

Opening bid is $1400 which seems high to me - still, you sure don't see these every day, so maybe rarity makes this reasonable.

Summary at the top says: "Will arrange for local pickup only (no shipping)" but down below the text says "SHIPMENT TO US ADDRESS IS $100", so a potential bidder might want to clear that up.

If a CR member buys it, take some good photos to share, OK?

I remember having a "crush" on these when they first came out, but don't think I even saw but one or two. My memory is that the "cosmetics" were as good as the rest of the Crescents. I eventually calmed down and decided it was a novelty: just like the top model, but substituting 3 plain gauge stainless tubes for three double-butted Reynolds tubes. And why would I want that? I have no vested interest in the sale, the bike is too small for me, and I can't imagine paying $1400 for this frame-set's novelty, when the price is in the range off "rider" Cinellis with patina, and much more than complete Paramounts of the era. Compleete bikes, not frameset.

But, maybe I'm too narrowminded about such things. I hope someone who really wanted one bad gets to fulfill his wish.
