Hello and thank you for a great list. I am in Houston,Tx, early 50's age and love to ride. To get the ugly stuff out of the way, I have 8 bikes. Three mountain/off road, one Trek ox-1 cross, and a '02 model C-dale that satisfies my really go fast urges. The fun stuff, an 87 Basso Loto, I know it is a little new but is lugged steel and Campy/regina/Simplex friction freewheel and sew ups. An early 80's Hujsak, from when Skip was in Austin, a lugged steel sweet ride. And an early 80's Raleigh ??. I bought it used frameset in '85. Now it has 700c x 32 Avocets, six speed regina, Simplex downtube shifters, Campy SR cranks, hubs, BB and Headset. Nitto Randonneur bars and Nitto Technomic Deluxe stem, creeping higher all the time. Brooks B-17 Champion Sp and Brooks tape, twined of course. Grant P and Rivendell have been a big influence and have fuelled the fires in my getting back to a simpler and more classic approach. I just missed getting the Condor frame mentioned earlier, am enjoying ebaying for old parts, looking for the right frame or bike. I promise to keep looking for the old stuff! I will get some pictures up soon on the Raleigh, as I would like to positivly identify the year and model. Sheldon Brown's info didn't quite get there. Thanks again, look forward to lots of reading and hope contributing. Tom Forbes Houston,Tx.
