Hit the wrong key and sent the previous message before I intended to. Anyway...

I'm estimating late 1970's on this frame based on: 1) spoon stays without the name Colnago stamped in them. 2) cable guides on top of the bottom bracket. 3) flat fork crown (later ones are sloped and have the C logo burned into them 4) the amount of braze on's, including the 2 rear brake cable ones, mean this is later 1970's

As Charles noted, the Mexico name has nothing to do with where it was made.

I had proudly announced some time ago to put together a Colnago dating site. This has unfortunately become a non starter due to my web guy pulling out. I still have all the information saved but that's as far as it's gotten. Someday perhaps.

Dearest List, A local guy I met through buying and selling parts is listing the Colnago Super below for auction on eBay. I took a look at the bike for him and did my best to help him identify components, etc. The bike is far from "correct", as it has a mix of Nuovo, Super and C-Record bits...but could really make a nice project or "daily rider". I know VERY little about Colnagos and would love to hear some basic tips on dating and identifying Italian vs. Mexican frames of this vintage. What are

your thoughts on this one, fellas? Thanks for your help.
