Ciao, Tifosi!
First, the update- I am lagging a bit on getting out all the items purchased last week by list members (a little overwhelmed by the response to some items!), but the remainder will go out tomorrow. If you have not received your swag by next Friday (unless you are a non-USA buyer), let me know. I have listed some interesting items on evilBay- NOS 50s-60s Mavic tubular rims, a complete gold-anodized 'Super LJ' derailleur/shift lever set, some nice 'GB' alloy wing nuts, a set of Campy NR 'Pista' hubs, some c.1965 'Simplex' QR skewers w/rubber hoods intact, etc. Look for seller name curmudgeon1957*; discounted shipping to CR members. Lastly, I bought the wrong size 'Spidel' seatpost for my 1980 Peugeot PXN-10- coulda sworn it was a 26.6 ; turns out I need a 26.4...anybody want to trade their Simpex/Spidel 26.4 post, for my 26.6??? BTW- 40 people turned out for the inaugural Portland Vintage Velo Memorial Day Ride....stars of the show were a couple of beautiful Cinelli SCs, a late-60's Holdsworth (immaculate!), a '63 Mondia Special, several PX-10s, and the '77 gitane tandem belonging to Bonnie & myself. It was such a success, that we will be doing it all summer- last Sunday of the month, locations will vary. Drop me a line if you are interested in participating; the next ride will be June 24th, tentative route will be the Sauvie's Island loop.
