Ugh. Narasimham, I'd report that exchange to Ebay (and send them the full email headers as well, it will allow them to figure out if the email was spoofed) as I'm pretty sure that sort of racist crap is against their policies.
(Personally, I don't care how many drinks he's had, or how deficient his sense of humor is, whoever wrote that garbage is not anyone I want to share air with).
Additionally, I'd file a complaint about the auction with them (and PayPal if that's how you paid) and if it turns out that Early actually wrote the email, with his local police as well.
I'm sure that all of us on the list would also be grateful to learn his Ebay handle so that we can avoid dealing with him in the future (again, only if you're able to determine that he wrote the email).
